About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Federal Project Manager to lead and manage federal government projects while ensuring compliance with U.S. federal regulations, cybersecurity standards, and agency requirements. The selected candidate will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage timelines and budgets, and ensure projects are delivered successfully in accordance with Statements of Work (SOWs) and federal mandates including CMMC, FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and close federal projects according to agency guidelines and federal regulations.
- Develop detailed project plans including scope, timelines, resources, risk management, and budget tracking.
- Prepare kickoff presentations and coordinate project kickoff meetings with all stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with federal frameworks such as CMMC, FedRAMP, NIST 800-53 / 800-171, and FISMA.
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and federal stakeholders to deliver project objectives on time.
- Monitor project milestones and report progress to senior leadership and federal clients.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain compliance and reduce delays.
- Support federal audits, assessments, and reporting requirements.
- Maintain project documentation in accordance with federal record-keeping standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact between federal agencies and internal teams.
- Manage the complete project lifecycle from initiation to closure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience managing federal or highly regulated projects in IT, cybersecurity, or healthcare.
- Strong understanding of federal frameworks such as FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST, and CMMC.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams, budgets, and timelines within federal environments.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to navigate federal procurement processes, compliance audits, and security requirements.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud security initiatives, federal IT systems, or cybersecurity programs.
- Understanding of risk management and compliance reporting for federal contracts.
- Strong client relationship management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using tools such as ConnectWise, PowerBI, SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail with solid documentation and note-taking abilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

This is a fully remote position with limited travel required to client sites. You will work with global teams through virtual collaboration while managing project timelines, meeting deadlines, and contributing to ControlCase’s cybersecurity and compliance initiatives.
